EB-2: Professionals Holding Advanced Degrees and Persons of Exceptional Ability
EB-2 is the second preference process that provides lawful permanent residence in the US to those with an advanced degree or an exceptional ability in the sciences, arts or business and a permanent offer of employment in the US.
Requirements:
Advanced Degree:
- Must hold an advanced degree or its equivalent or a baccalaureate degree and at least 5 years of progressive experience in the profession.
- Official academic record showing that you have a S. advanced degree or a foreign equivalent degree
- Letters from current or former employers showing that you have at least 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate work experience in the specialty.
Exceptional Ability:
- Must have exceptional ability in the sciences, arts, or business. Exceptional ability means having a degree of expertise significantly above that ordinarily encountered in the sciences, arts, or business.
- Evidence that you have commanded a salary or other remuneration for services that demonstrates your exceptional ability
